Our Story

Established in 1999, Café Cognito is Moncton’s oldest independently-owned café.  Since that time, Café Cognito has developed a solid reputation for bringing a world of freshly roasted coffee to area residents and visitors alike, from the best coffee producing regions across the globe through its parent company, Down East Coffee. 

Over the years, Café Cognito has remained a popular spot at which to enjoy downtime with family, friends and colleague with healthy food choices.  Its menu of local fare features homemade soups, veggie-pâté, baked goods, all day egg sandwiches, Panini, and interesting beverages.  It is the place to go for excellent traditional espresso.  Drop by and stay awhile or take out enticing local products to enjoy at your leisure.
